3 Strand Czech firepolish, pearls, MOP

I haven't posted in awhile and wanted to get some more pictures up. I made this necklace last year. I was pregnant, just moved corss country and looking for a job (can you say stress?) Anyways I had a great creative spurt and this was one of the necklaces that came out of that. It's made of glass pearls, Czech glass, sterling chain and 3 MOP discs. I should shoot a closeup so you can see the materials and colors better. This was made from my bead soup. I grab a whole bunch of beads that I think will look good together and start playing.

My new "friends"

I got all these new lovelys on Friday. I was so excited and jumping up and down when I had the box in my hot little hands. I probably would have scared the fedex man had he not done the "ring and run". They are Swarovski findings and pendants. I am in such a big charm and pendant phase right now. I plan to load them up and put multiple ones on 1 piece. I'll have to do some sketches and post them. I have way too many ideas in my head to get them all done.

Happy Birthday Joshua

Spring Lei

I did this one earlier in the year. It's called Spring Lei. It's made of faceted jade and lime Swarovski crystals. The flowers are layered Czech flowers and a MOP flower pendant. I love the layers in this necklace. I also like the fact that it has so many different colors but the base is neutral. It goes with everything.
Unfortunately, my son's have been having a contest to see who can break more of mom's jewelry. I need to find a new shell pendant for the center. At least it's repairable.

More agate slice necklaces

Here are the other 2 necklaces I've made with the agates. The one on the left is mine. It reminds me of cotton candy. The necklace is made of dyed jade and fucshia Swarovski crystals. The pendant also has a Swarovski slider component. The component is supposed to be used as a double strand slider, but I love looking for unconventional ways to use these things.
The one on the right is an asymetrical lariat/y-necklace. The clasp allows you to hook the necklace high or low on the chain. I made this one for my mom for her birthday. It has Swarovski crystals, Czech firepolish beads, and dyed jade.
Now, you see why I chose the pepto pink blog. I love pink!

First Post

Well, it's my first post. I'm new to this blogging thing. I wanted to use this as an outlet to showcase some of my jewelry I've been creating. I have finally taken the plunge. I thought blogging would be a fun way to get my work online.

The necklace pictured is called Florida. Well, because I'm here and I've had great creative "juju". I was obsessed with these sliced dyed agates. I bought some (36-a few more than some) so I've started making some necklaces with them. I've made 3 so far, I need to get the other 2 photographed. I like this necklace, because there are so many ways to wear it. I even made the pendant detatchable , so I can change them out. Granted, gotta make other pendants to go with it.
Bed time, the little guy passed out next to me on the floor.
